CsPbCl₃ has A typical Abx-₃ type perovskite crystal structure, where the A position is cesium ion (Cs + +), the B position is lead ion (Pb² + +) and the X position is chloride ion (Cl⁻). This crystal structure exhibits quantum confinement effects at the nanoscale, in which the movement of electrons and holes is restricted in three dimensions, resulting in a band structure and optical and electrical properties different from those of bulk phase materials. Quantum dots typically range in size from a few nanometers to tens of nanometers, and their size can significantly affect their performance. For example, as the size of a quantum dot decreases, its band gap increases, causing the luminous wavelength to shift blue (towards shorter wavelengths).
